INTERNSHIP WITH MOTIVA TECHNOLOGIES

Motiva Technologies is looking for a mechanical engineering student to work in their growing product development department. This position requires mechanical aptitude, as well as the ability to communicate in Mandarin Chinese. In this position, you will work with the Product Development Team and Chinese suppliers to design and develop products that meet the needs of a wide variety of customers.

Position Summary: The Mechanical Engineer Intern is responsible for working with potential new customers to identify product needs and requirements, as well as working with suppliers to develop products to meet these needs.

Description, Requirements and Skills: We are looking for a number of students to work as part of a software team to develop a novel platform for the seamless and intuitive integration of an increasingly rich world of internet services.  The work aims to address a broad spectrum of needs, from the bringing together of on-campus student services, to addressing needs within the rapidly grown smart communities initiatives currently underway around the world. Qualified students should be skilled in at least one programming language (e.g. Python, Java) with the ability to learn more if needed. Experience with web services, container technologies (e.g. Docker) and familiarity with cross-platform mobile app development frameworks (e.g. Flutter, React Native) is preferred.

ENGINEERING FOR BOUNCING BACK (EBB) REU 2019

Oregon University is offering summer internships for undergraduate students interested in hands-on interdisciplinary research on the topic of Resilience. EBB will award approximately 10 fellowships of $5,000 per student along with travel and subsistence support.  The program will last ten weeks from June 17 to August 23, 2019. Students will work with a faculty mentor and graduate student on a specific project and will develop research skills to increase graduate school opportunities.
