Summer Camps (Grades 6-12)

WORLDWIDE YOUTH IN SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING PROGRAM

SUMMER CAMPS

Girls' Adventures in Mathematics, Engineering, and Science (GAMES) camps were developed by WIE in 1998, and the program has continued to grow and evolve ever since. These camps are a popular option in the overall list of WYSE Summer Camps at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign's Grainger College of Engineering. These camps provide STEM-interested young women the opportunity to experience advanced curricula, world-class facilities, and an "away from home," collegiate experience at one of the best engineering schools in the nation and the world. The camps provide exposure to different areas of engineering through demonstrations, classroom presentations, hands-on activities, and interactions with various students, staff, and professors in those fields.

Enrollment in WYSE summer camp programs is limited to ensure the quality of the academic experience for all involved. The camps have a merit-based admissions process, and the application process includes opportunities to request needs-based scholarships.
