MEP Illini Day Welcome Committee Meet & Greet

Join current engineering students for a "Meet and Greet" during your Illini Day visit. As a newly admitted Latinx, Black, or Native American student, the Morrill Engineering Program (MEP) Student Welcoming Committee, would like to connect with you to share their stories and answer any questions you have about Illinois. Note: You must be registered for the same Admitted Student Illini Day.

HIGH SCHOOL VISITATION (HSV) WEEKEND

High School Visitation is a weekend-long campus visit program for underrepresented high school students hosted by registered student organizations: the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE).

Experience college life by sleeping in residence halls, attend lectures, visit campus facilities, and interact with college students! Fall HSV is open to all high school students while Spring HSV is for students admitted into the Grainger College of Engineering.

Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE)

A weekend for admitted Hispanic and Latinx students to spend time overnight on campus and get to learn more about SHPE, UIUC, and what being a college student is like! The weekend will include informational sessions, tours, workshops, community building activities, and meet & greets with various campus organization and staff.

Day: Friday - Sunday (overnight visit)
Dates: March 31 - April 2
Time: 9:00 A.M. (6:00 A.M. for bus riders) - 10:00 A.M. (April 2)

Registration closes March 10 or once capacity is reached.*

National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE)

A weekend for admitted Black and African-American students to get to learn more about NSBE, U of I, and college life. The weekend will include informational sessions, tours, workshops, community building activities, and meet & greets with various campus organization and staff.

MOSAIC

Join the Computer Science (CS) Department for this day long program for Black, African American, Hispanic, Latinx, and American Indian students admitted to CS and CS+X.

The day will include informational presentations from the CS undergraduate programs office, question and answer sessions with a faculty panel, and a discussion session with current students.

ENGINEERING OPEN HOUSE (EOH)

Engineering Open House is an annual student-led event featuring two days of exciting exhibits and captivating competitions that showcase the talent and ingenuity of engineering students at the University of Illinois. The event is open to the public at no cost.

The University hosts multiple types of programs designed to get you acquainted with our campus. These visit days may include presentations, interactive student panels, campus tours, and residence hall tours. You may even be able to attend a lecture!
