The University hosts multiple types of programs designed to get you acquainted with our campus. These visit days may include presentations, interactive student panels, campus tours, and residence hall tours. You may even be able to attend a lecture! Engineering Open House is an annual student-led event featuring two days of exciting exhibits and captivating competitions that showcase the talent and ingenuity of engineering students at the University of Illinois. The event is open to the public at no cost.


High School Visitation is a weekend long campus visit program for underrepresented high school students hosted by registered student organizations. Students will have the opportunity to experience college life by sleeping in dormitories, attending lectures, visiting campus facilities, and interacting with college students. HSV occurs once a semester for each organizations. Fall HSV is open to all high school students while Spring HSV is restricted to high school students who have been accepted into the College of Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) host separate HSV programs.
