About Us

IISE is the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers. IISE provides leadership in developing industrial and systems engineering. We are a student-run organization providing professional, social, and service opportunities for Industrial and Systems Engineers at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Professional events allow students to network and gain industry insight; social events give members a chance to ditch the books and get to know their peers; while service outings encourage members to not only be good, but do good in the community. IISE provides learning and leadership opportunities for students of all levels while promoting engagement with the Industrial and Systems Engineering department as well as the College of Engineering as a whole.

Because IISE at UIUC is a nationally recognized chapter, students are also given the opportunity to connect with IISE students and professionals on a national scale to increase exposure and build professional networks. Our Chapter attends the IISE North Central Regional Conference every spring to connect with like-minded peers from neighboring universities and professionals in a variety of industries.
