ENG 177: Mobility Innovations

In this course, students will gain hands-on experience building solutions to a variety of mobility challenges.

 

Course Description

Moving people, goods, materials, etc. both locally and around the world is a global challenge. It requires expertise and knowledge from many different engineering disciplines. The Mobility Innovation course provides students with the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience building solutions to a variety of mobility challenges. The scope of projects in the past have ranged from equipping bicycles for travel in inclement weather to building a phone app and hardware system to optimize spreading manure for agriculture. The definition of mobility in this course is broad and can encompass a number of projects. The goals of the course is to become a better critical thinker and innovator. Students will have access to the Projects Lab to work on their prototypes.
