There are several digital platforms used in each of your classes. Learn more about how each of them are used.


Course Organization

Compass

Compass is used to view and share course related information. Students can view the course syllabus, assignments, grades and more for any classes that have a Compass page.

Learn@Illinois (Moodle)

Learn@Illinois (Moodle) is used to view and share course related information. Students can view the course syllabus, assignments, grades and more for any classes that have a Moodle page.

Course Content

FlipItPhysics

FlipItPhysics is used by Physics to assign homework, pre-lectures, and practice exams. Students can view upcoming assignments and grades to past assignments.

PrairieLearn

PrairieLearn is used by several courses to assign homework and exams. Students can view upcoming assignments and grades to past assignments.

RELATE

RELATE is used by Computer Science to assign homework and exams. Students can view upcoming assignments and grades to past assignments.

LON-CAPA

LON-CAPA is used by Chemistry and other departments to assign homework, quizzes, pre- and post-labs. Students can view upcoming assignments and grades to past assignments.

CBTF

The Computer Based Testing Facility (CBTF) is used to schedule timeslots to take quizzes and exams. Students can schedule, reschedule and cancel appointments using the CBTF site.

Remote Connections

Several remote access resources allow students to access Engineering Workstation (EWS) applications and resources from their personal machines.

CISCO AnyConnect VPN

The Technology Services VPN offers a secure connection to the campus network. It enables access to resources that are restricted to the campus network.

Grainger Student Portal

The Grainger Student Portal is used to highlight events in the College such as info nights, review sessions, workshops and many more.

Piazza

Piazza is a forum for asking course-related questions such as about homework, quizzes, or office hours. Students and instructors can interact to answer questions.

Queue@Illinois

Queue is a platform for placing yourself in line to schedule an appointment. Many services use Queue such as CARE Tutoring, Office Hours, Advising and others.

Slack

Slack workspaces are used by academic groups and Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) to communicate. Many groups use Slack for announcements, collaboration, or messaging.
