What was your favorite class you took freshman year and why?
PHYS 225, because it was a challenging and interesting class that made me feel prepared for harder upcoming classes in my major and in physics.

Bangkok Thai and Shawarma Joint are tied for the best (and most) food in CU.

If you're interested in physics, electrical engineering, material science, or clean energy, I highly recommend getting involved in research at the Center for Plasma-Material Interactions. I've learned so much while working there and it's fun, rewarding work.

What was your favorite class you took freshman year and why?
My favorite class I took freshman year was STAT 400: Statistics and Probability I. I had never previously taken a statistics course, and I learned that it was a subject I really enjoyed. The class directly supported the research I had begun in fall of my freshman year, and the professor was very engaging, which was quite the feat considering the medium was Zoom.

I joined Women in Nuclear during my second week on campus, and quickly ran for a board position after connecting with the upperclassmen who were involved. The club has been an incredible support system for me throughout college, and has provided me with a network of amazing opportunities and friends.

I love walking around campus in my free time, and my favorite place to grab dinner in Champaign is definitely Shawarma Joint, so I drag my friends there with me regularly.
