What was your favorite class you took freshman year and why?
My favorite class freshman year was MATH 285 (Differential Equations) with Prof. Bronski! I really enjoyed the structure of the class because it focused more on problem solving and useful applications over theory. I also thought Prof. Bronski was a really fun and caring professor which enhanced my experience.

What was your favorite class you took freshman year and why?
My favorite class freshman year was CWL 114 (Global Consciousness in Lit). I learned how important context is in literature and how writing can capture the emotions of an entire nation or time period as well as individual stories. Great class overall, highly recommend!

I'm part of Women in MechSE (WiM) and the Muslim Student Association (MSA). I joined both as a freshman and am still super involved in both! Both have given me spaces to explore parts of my professional and personal identities and have given me amazing communities here on campus.

One of my favorite things to do in CU is to just talk to people. Everyone is so motivated to make a difference and have such interesting stories and career and personal trajectories, so go and get to know people!

What was your favorite class you took freshman year and why?
I really enjoyed Intro to Computer Science I (CS 124). Coding had always seem interesting but intimidating to me, and I had very minimal experience before coming to Illinois. CS 124 helped me discover that I really enjoyed programming because each problem felt like a sort of puzzle or riddle that I had to logic my way through. That class also inspired me to take on a computer science minor.
