A fun fact about me is that I am a second degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do

My favorite place to eat on campus is Bangkok Thai.

What was your favorite class you took freshman year and why?
Math 347 is the first proof based math course, and is a prerequisite for most advanced math classes. This class gave me a newfound appreciation for the rigorous logical principles upon which math is structured, and for the immense creativity involved in using and extending it.

There are so many must-do activities for freshmen: eat at Bangkok Thai, take the buses, get lost in academic buildings, get threatened by the geese. Please make sure that you don't go into the Morrow plots though.

What was your favorite class you took freshman year and why?
GER 251 (Grimm's Fairy Tales in Context). I took it so fulfill my Cultural Studies gen-ed requirement and loved the class. I actually looked forward to the readings in class, as they were usually various versions of fairy tales, and the discussion about historical context changing the story and the different fairy tale structures were interesting. I also was genuinely interested in lectures and thought the discussion board had more unique topics of conversation.

I am currently president of the Society of Women in Physics (SWIP) and I love it here. We get to both learn about people's various experiences about physics and discuss how being a women in stem can create some common phenomena.

I feel like I'm betraying my first love of Bangkok Thai, but after learning about the rewards card at Thai Fusion, i have come to love that restaurant equally.

I joined Illini Waterskiing my freshman year which I loved! Going to other midwestern schools the first few weekends and waterskiing is my favorite part of coming back to campus. Going to quad day and welcome events for different RSOs is so important to meet people who share your interests!
